Bowes Pre-School Trips/Outings/Walks

The Pre-School often arranges outings and visits to places of interest.  This includes visits within the local community as well as trips further afield.  You will always be told of any trips in good time and will be asked to sign a consent form if you wish your child to go, parents are also invited to attend all trips.

We try to encourage the children to play outside as much as possible as we have such a great outdoor environment.  We are also very lucky that we are situated in Bowes Village where we have lovely walks we can take the children on.  We recently took part in the Barnardos Big Toddle, which we took the children down the village to the playpark, where we played for a short time.  We then walked up the Back Lane to Bowes Castle where we had our picnic lunch and then we returned to the Pre-School.

On Friday 5th December we visited Santa Claus at Rheged in Penrith.  We were very lucky as many parents came along to see their children's reactions to Santa and joined us on the trip.  We all had a lovely lunch in the cafe and the children enjoyed their experiences of Santa and the softplay area.

Other trips which we have been on in the past have been to Seven Stories at Newcastle, Mini Moos, seeing Santa on the Wensleydale Express and to Saltburn-by-the-Sea!

We also welcome many varied visitors into the Pre-School.
